How Important is to achieve ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN REFRIGERATION Industry?
When designing a Refrigeration system, the designer will take in considerations many criteria. One of those, is system efficiency, COP (Coefficient of Performance).
In middle east region, many clients in the past, have not worried about the power consumption of their Refrigeration equipment. However, more and more in today’s economic climate difficulties and higher electricity prices, larger companies with a sense of either corporate or environmental responsibility look to partners like IR to help them achieve the lowest running cost possible for their refrigeration systems.
The efficacy of an Ammonia system is much higher than that of other systems. Ammonia as a Refrigerant is extremely efficient, this allows us to use a relatively small amount in ammonia chillers for a given refrigeration duty. Also, the cost of Ammonia is usually lower than other widely available refrigerants.
